I love coming home after a long day at the office and soaking in my hot tub! The relaxing benefits of this are immeasurable, releasing sore and tight muscles. The bubbling hot water washing away the stresses of the day.

Soaking in hot tubs is called hydrotherapy for those in the business of health and healing. They say the three main healing ingredients in hydro therapy are the heat, the buoyancy in the water and the massaging action of the water jets. The three together create an experience that is both healthy and quite relaxing. I have read that regular hydrotherapy can provide benefits that are both physical and emotional. I am amazed that something so pure and simple as water can accomplish this for us.

Soaking in my hot tub relieves my aching joints in cold weather, relaxes my strained muscles from over working them, puts me in a deep state of relaxation and thus giving me a better nights sleep. I have also noticed the number and frequency of headaches have decreased significantly since I began regular soaking in hot tubs. I understand this is due to the dilating effect the hot water has on the vascular system. The warm water massaging the body also releases endorphins and these naturally reduce your stress levels. I have also seen that the National Foundation for Sleep has stated that soaking in hot water such as a hot tub or hot bath before retiring to bed will make you fall asleep faster and have a better nights sleep.

I would never willingly give up my hot tub. Since I have had one I get much better nights sleep. I am able to relax and unwind more quickly after a stressful day in the office and have a general sense of just feeling better overall.

I needed to find a new modality of healing to offer my clients. The modalities that I already employ, like Reiki and Healing touch massage, is doing wonders for my clients, but I would like to be able to expand my horizons. I heard about Su Jok, which is Korean meaning hand and foot, being taught in Jaipur. What I’ve read about this modality is a Professor has a belief the the blueprints of the entire body is in our hands and feet, which enable the body to be treated. I was fortunate enough to have a friend staying in Jaipur, so I managed to stay in one of the five star Jaipur hotels where he has been staying and he didn’t ask me to help with the expense of the room. I’ll have to pay him back with plenty of healing massages.

During my classes, learning Su Jok, I got to understand more of this Professors theories. Through different methods of stimulation to the corresponding areas on the hand and foot, waves of energy travel back to the affected part of the body, which brings an element of fast pain relief energizing organs and tissues to return to a normal healthy state. I learned this means, even though it’s simple stimulation between corresponding areas, my clients body will be able to heal itself without the use of drugs or invasive surgery.

I was shown that within the fingers, there are three joints, which is the same to the arms where there are also three joints: wrist, elbow and shoulder. The legs also have three joints: ankles, knees and hips. So, looking at the body, one can see from the anterior that our legs are positioned between our arms and the legs are longer than our arms, which again is similar to the hands. It was shown to me that the two shorter fingers occupy the outer position and the two longer fingers are positioned between them. The Professor sited that this is not a coincidence, we were born into this world with an innate system of healing with the use of our hands and feet. They are the manuals to access his created system, which he calls Su Jok.

When I finished with my classes, I was very pleased and ready to offer more modalities of healing to my clients.

There are no comparisons to the thrilling city than that of New York. A dynamic, inimitable mix of world cultures, skyscrapers towering over each other and colorful neighborhoods. Visitors from around the world arrive by the thousands every single day. One does need to consider if a medical issue comes up what and where to get the best care. New York is known throughout the world for it’s superb Medical Facilities, in which is the reason hundreds of those thousands visiting New York come to get the best treatments offered by the best doctors. Expensive, yes, but that doesn’t stop people who can or can not afford it from flying in and stay at a New York USA Hotel.

One of the best University Hospitals is located in the heart of New York City, NYU Langone Medical Center. One of the Nation’s premier centers for excellent Health Care, biomedical research and medical education. This Medical Facility has over 50 centers, 30 academic departments and approximately 380,00 square feet of research laboratories. A few discoveries have led to Nobel prizes. NYULangone boast it has the best interdisciplinary clinical research that addresses 21st century biomedical science. Another well known Medical Facility is Mount Sinai school of Medicine. With over 300 programs, departments and clinics, Mount Sinai offers a wealth of clinical services. It is the first to describe numerous disorders such asTay-Sachs Disease, Churg -Strauss Disease and Collagen disease. So, if you have some ‘mysterious’ condition that your regular doctors just dismiss as being in your mind and don’t even offer any help or solutions. Don’t get discouraged, Mount Sinai has the doctors, the facilities and the means to help figure out what you have and cure it or at least begin to find a cure. Mount Sinai is also the first in Geriatrics and Adult Development and the first in blood transfusions with compatibility tests to point out that blood groups are hereditary.

I’ve only mentioned two of the top-notch medical facilities that New York has to offer the entire world population. When one talks about the brain drain of doctors at all the other great major cities of the world, they are also taking note that those doctors end up in New York. It is because of the well funded research facilities that cause the brain drain. Yes, these other countries do suffer from the lack of qualified doctors and miss out on the knowledge the research departments develop and discover in New York’s medical facilities. There are cheaper medical facilities around the world, but non so qualified to take the best care of the ones you love as the ones in New York.

As people are becoming more accustomed to the idea of traveling to obtain good medical care, finding the right hospital and doctor for you is of the highest concern.  Companies that are involved in medical tourism are designed to help you locate exactly the right medical practitioners who will receive information such as X-rays and diagnoses as well as guide you to cutting edge hospitals with the best technology for your specific surgery.

Why are patients traveling to obtain medical care that they could easily find in their own country?  Because abroad it can be so much cheaper.  Consider lap band surgery abroad in Mexico.  Here the costs are often more than 50% less than in the United States for surgery, hospital stay, and recovery.  Once you are discharged from the hospital, you then can enjoy the additional benefit of a local beach or an interesting town or city to explore.  Cheap knee surgery in India, where the doctors are also exceptionally trained, offers patients the opportunity to enjoy a fascinating vacation after recovery.  All at a fraction of the cost that one would find a North American setting.

Whatever your surgical needs are, traveling abroad to undergo a procedure is no longer daunting or worrisome with the experts who can guide you through the process.
