Organ music may seem like a limited genre, but each year the Orgue et couleurs puts on a Fall Festival in Montreal to disprove skeptics. Each year 50 or so artists and ensembles gather to celebrate this grandiose instrument and its diverse repertoire. A variety of concerts, chorale performances, and recitals will be held at venues throughout the city from September 24th through October 3rd during the 2010 festival.

The versatility of the organ is the primary theme of the festival. Classic symphony and chorale harmonies will be presented alongside contemporary, modern, and popular tunes. In addition, the festival offers unique pairings of the organ with unexpected instruments as well as with visual art, theater and dance. Artists from across Canada and around the globe come together to provide an incredible experience for residents, students, and visitors staying at nearby Montreal boutique hotel s.

The Orgue et couleurs was founded in 1998 with a mission of organizing the Fall Festival. The first Fall Festival in 1999 was a grand success and by 2002, over 9000 people were in attendance. Today, Orgue et couleurs sponsors events throughout the year designed to provide original and accessible performances and activities.
